There have been a fair share of contenders who have offered their own particular challenges to the 212 champion, but only a few have truly come close to challenging Flex Lewis.

One of those men is Ahmad Ashkanani.

The 2017 Arnold Classic 212 champion, Ahmad Ashkanani has already shown the kind of potential to potentially dethrone Flex Lewis. But with the reigning Olympia champion choosing to switch divisions after the 2018 show, Ashkanani will only have one more opportunity to potentially out duel Flex Lewis. While it may be a bit of an uphill battle, Ahmad Ashkanani is showing the kind of form that could potentially give the champion something to think about heading into his final 212 competition.

Ahmad Ashkanani is in the role of the hungry contender looking to dethrone the champion. But he’ll only get one more opportunity to defeat the greatest lightweight bodybuilding champion to ever compete.
