Dennis James Reveals the Posing Training Big Ramy Used to Earn Olympia Win

Dennis James talks about the posing prep for Big Ramy for the 2020 Olympia.

2020 was a pretty unpredictable year to say the least. The 2020 Olympia played out very much like the rest of the year, with an unpredictable result.

Heading into the show it was no secret that many onlookers were interested in the battle between Phil heath and Brandon Curry. While both men brought an impressive package, it was ultimately Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay that truly left a major impression.

The Egyptian bodybuilder brought an incredible physique to the stage at the Olympia. His conditioning was on point and his presentation was solid. Big Ramy definitely earned the victory at the show.

But how did this victory come about? Well Dennis James who helped coach Big Ramy for the 2020 Olympia sums it up perfectly in his latest Instagram post.

Dennis James credits his posing tips as a major factor in getting Big Ramy the win as well as the champion’s work with Chad Nicholls. Below is James’ full assessment of Big Ramy and his success at the Olympia as well as a posing video showcasing the work the champ put in.

It’s called putting in the work.

With Chad Nicholls doing what he does best and having Ramy’s condition on point it was very important that he is also ready to be able to display his shape and condition to the fullest. Posing plays a huge roll and being able to stand there for several rounds is hard work for a huge guy.

Ramy did not miss a beat and we posed several times a day, first thing after walking up before cardio then again after cardio before breakfast and again before meals and after workouts. He was 100% prepared and would’ve been able to continue posing at pre judging and the confirmation round as long as they would’ve called him. He was ready to do whatever it takes to make his presence felt. I can’t wait to see what Ramy will bring in 2021. I wish you all a Happy New Year!
