In His First Training Session Since Retirement, Dexter Jackson Still Looks Impressive as Ever

Dexter Jackson hasn’t lost a step.

The 2020 Olympia was certainly an historic one. After suffering through an equally historic year, the best of the best were still able to make to the stage and compete. The show saw the crowning of a new Mr. Olympia as well as the retirement of another.

Strength Wars Movie

Dexter Jackson stepped on a competitive stage for the final time this past December and it was bittersweet. It was amazing to see one of the greatest bodybuilders in history still give a great accounting of himself in his final show. When you consider that Dexter Jackson was 51 years old and still possessed a top 10 physique it shows just how impressive the veteran is.

Now that he’s stepped away from competing you’d think that he’d give bodybuilding a break. While he did take 5 weeks off, it looks like Dexter Jackson is ready to get back into his usual routine. Rather than look to lift extremely heavy, he is content with just staying in great shape. His first training session back was on leg day, a day only the most dedicated of bodybuilders never miss.

Take a look at some of his training below.

Boy i tell ya!!! This shit heavy AF after retiring and taking 5 weeks off!?? Slowwwwwly working my way back up to a respectable weight. I ain’t trying to lift the gym no more. Just lifting to stay in shape after 30 years of smashing weights. Now I see how easy it is to let yourself go. Lol! Stay strong people and don’t let nothing hold you back from getting in shape and lookin good!

What do you think of Dexter Jackson getting back in the gym after his retirement.
