Dorian Yates: The Original Mass Monster premiered in England yesterday.
Dorian Yates: The Original Mass Monster enjoyed a special one-night-only theatre release in Birmingham, England last night hosted and sponsored by DY Nutrition. The film will become available on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play on November 15. Aailable for pre-order now on DVD and digital.
The opening night was a huge success with many of the stars in attendance. Dorian Yates came with his wife, Gal Ferreira. His ex-wife Debbie was also there, as were their children, Lewis and Tahnee. Take a look for yourself at some of the pictures of the special night below:
The film tells the inspiring rags-to-riches true story of Dorian’s rise from streetwise Manchester punk to bodybuilding legend and sports icon. Dorian grew up poor up in Birmingham and was first introduced to working out while briefly serving jail time. He had a troubled relationship with his mother after his father died and was basically leading a directionless, violent existence. In the film, he talks about how bodybuilding saved his life and helped him to develop the incredible physique we all know and love.
Also featured in the documentary are Dorian’s close friends and family, who describe how fame and fitness have impacted all of their worlds. His son, Lewis, has chosen to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a bodybuilder. Dorian also discusses the many things that have affected his evolution as a bodybuilder, including his spirituality and meeting his new wife, Gal.
Dorian Yates: The Original Mass Monster also features interviews from Jay Cutler, King Kamali, and Chris Cormier among others. it’s the most comprehensive look yet at the life of one of the most legendary bodybuilders in the history of the sport – bringing you deeper into the man behind the legend.
