Super Saiyans are back to inspire a hell of a lot of muscle.
It’s official. IGN has reported that after 18 years a new Dragon Ball series will be heading to television this coming July. The new project entitled Dragon Ball Super is set to be the sequel avid fans have been waiting for. It’s no secret that the staff here at Generation Iron are big fans of the show and that the series has had a major impact on modern bodybuilding culture.
Dragon Ball Z, the show that has been an inspiration to all walks of life, including avid bodybuilders, is one of the most popular TV series of all time and has a legion of fans from the average Joe, to gaming nerd, all the way to the premiere athlete.
The show’s influence has impacted a wide range of different audiences and I have no doubts that the sequel will prove to do the same for a new generation of fans. For those who got into bodybuilding to get as shredded as Goku or as swole as Broly, this comes as a huge surprise, but certainly a welcome one. Will there be some new inspirational characters that will spark the fire of new bodybuilders in the years to come? Only time will tell.
Really, in regards to such surprising and awesome news, there’s only one thing that needs to be said about this sudden and welcome development.
