“If you’d have asked me that six months, a year ago, I would have said Mariusz Pudzianowski and I probably would still say now. I think Mariusz is five times World’s Strongest Man so he’s got that on me.”
Hall was preparing to take on reigning World’s Strongest Man champion Mitchell Hooper in the ring before the event was cancelled. He is now looking for his next opponent and his sights could be set on Mariusz Pudzianowski, who has experience in the ring. Like Hall, Pudzianowski is a former World’s Strongest Man who has made the transformation into a fighter.
Eddie Hall Talks Matchup With Mariusz Pudzianowski
Mariusz Pudzianowski is not just a multi-time World’s Strongest Man champion. He is a gifted fighter with plenty of experience in the ring. He continues to get stronger as time goes on as he hones his skills as a fighter.
“He’s been doing MMA for 16 years. He’s f*cked up some good fighters. I think he’s 47 but you know, with hormone therapy you get these days, you might as well be 30.”
Hall has trained with some of the top athletes in the world. He has not taken part in an MMA fight just yet but is looking to make his debut soon. If it were to be against Pudzianowski, he knows what to expect.
“100% nervous. He scares the sh*t out of me, to be honest. He was ferocious in Strongman. He’s been ferocious in MMA and his engine, that’s what scares me the most.”
Hall took on the carnivore challenge for 90 days ahead of December 2024 and was able to get great results. He shared a video on YouTube explaining his process and sharing his weight loss of 19.6 pounds. Hall shared his current weight of 350.5 pounds and body fat of just 19.9%. This is not the first time he was able to build a shredded physique post Strongman.
Eddie Hall is familiar with Pudzianowski in the ring and credits his motor for what makes him special as a fighter.
“He’s got the same engine that can give and give and give. It’s the same with fighting. You watch him, he throws one shot, takes a big breath, and then it’s like bam, bam, bam. He can throw shots as hard as you can f*cking imagine for two minutes straight.”
