Eddie Hall met Dean Alex in Dubai and hit him with a memorable slap.
Strongman Eddie Hall has taken part in many interesting collabs over the course of his career. During a trip to Dubai on July 26, Hall met up with social media personality Dean Alex, who requested to be slapped by the former World’s Strongest Man. When the two met, Hall delivered a powerful slap that left Alex bruised and with a blown eardrum.

Alex has made a name for himself on social media taking on some of the most insane challenges that you could think of. Adding to that list, Alex wanted to go face-to-face with Hall and take a powerful slap from one of the strongest men of all-time.
At first, Hall was hesitant to go full strength. His first slap was described as 50% of his power. It still knocked Alex to the ground and once he got up, he was ready for round two. Hall took it up to 70%, still keeping some in the tank, but this slap was far more devastating. Alex was knocked down once again and left with an injury.
“It is like a grenade has gone off. I can’t hear anything. I can’t feel my face. He has popped my eardrum. I feel dead disoriented and dizzy. All I can hear is ringing in my ears.”
Hall was in Dubai on the same day that Hafthor Bjornsson set a new deadlift world record of 505kg (1,113.3lb). Many were anticipating Hall’s response following this world-record lift. Hall previously held the deadlift world record of 500kg before Bjornsson bested his mark by one kilogram in 2020.

Eddie Hall Slaps YouTuber Dean Alex
Dean Alex spoke on this experience following the second slap, which left him a bit rattled. After the first slap, Alex believes he should have stopped.
“That is definitely one of the worst videos that I’ve ever done, one of the worst challenges I’ve ever done. I’m in a bad, bad place. I took two slaps off him like a champ but I shouldn’t have taken the second one.”
In April, Eddie Hall made his MMA debut with a victory against Mariusz Pudzianowski by technical knockout. Hall was previously preparing to take on reigning World’s Strongest Man champion Mitchell Hooper in the ring before the event was cancelled. He began looking for his next opponent and sights were set on Mariusz Pudzianowski, who has experience in the ring. Like Hall, Pudzianowski is a former World’s Strongest Man who has made the transformation into a fighter.
