Eddie Hall Speaks On Loss To Hafthor Bjornsson: ‘I Can Take Things Like A Man, We Can Do Business Again’

Eddie Hall responded to his performance against Hafthor Bjornsson following the fight.

It has been two days since Hafthor Bjornsson defeated Eddie Hall by unanimous decision in they boxing match. Both fighters have made statements following the bout and Hall could be looking for a rematch in the future.

Hall took to Instagram to speak on his performance against Bjornsson. The fight went the full six rounds and the judges made their decision at the end. Hall spoke on his first boxing match and the opponent that it was against. Also, he did not close the door on the chance for a rematch moving forward.

“I can take things like a man. It is what it is. It’s boxing. At the end of the day, I’ve just fought literally the biggest man on the planet in a boxing match. I’d like to see anybody else get the balls to do that. It’s been a hell of a journey. I’ve enjoyed it. Hopefully there’s a rematch. We can do business again.”

Despite the intensity leading up to the fight, both Eddie Hall and Hafthor Bjornsson did not let it impact their performance or moods after the event. Hall was emotional in his immediate reaction while Bjornsson remained calm in victory. The judges had this as a unanimous decision but Bjornsson went to the mat once and was able to bounce back. For his first time out and coming off a tricep injury, Hall gave it all he had.

In the end, the experience of Bjornsson took over a bit. He had some exhibition fights under his belt coming in and it showed at times. Bjornsson was knocked down twice in the match but made adjustments and decided to use his reach. Hall was knocked down three times. As the fight got later and later, it was clear the adjustments made by The Mountain and the judges reflected it on the scorecard.

Eddie Hall took more time in his video to wish fans the best moving forward.

“I just want to wish everyone out there to stay safe, stay positive, and keep moving forward in life.”

With the history that these two strongmen turned boxers have, a rematch is never out of the question. It would be interesting to see the adjustments that Hall would make if the two were to step in the ring once again. He was humble in defeat and this says a lot about the person that Hall is.

“No excuses at all from me just tonight the better man won. Well done to Thor and hope everyone’s staying safe,” Hall wrote in his caption on Instagram.

Now, it is time to keep an eye on Hafthor Bjornsson to see who his next opponent will be. If it is indeed Eddie Hall in a rematch, there might even be more anticipation behind it given the outcome.
