Floyd Mayweather Goes Off On IG Live, Says He Can Make A Billion in The UFC

Floyd Mayweather hinting at possible UFC bout?

Floyd Mayweather’s third and most recent retirement from boxing came in August, with an improvement of his record to 50-0 after he knocked out Conor McGregor. Since then, “Money” Mayweather has kept fans up to date with his worldwide travel and impressive purchases via Insatgram.

Yesterday Floyd made a special splash, appearing on Instagram Live (captured by Fight Hype). The champ ranted on a range of topics from investments, to Black Lives Matter, to his recent bout with McGregor:

“’Money May’ is back. The ‘Pretty Boy Floyd’ swag is back… I fell out the game for two years, came back- you know how I kick ass. I’m so tough at what I do, they had to go to a whole other barbarian sport to go get another motherf****r try to fuck with me. You already know what I did with that- lights out parties over, you can kiss the babies.”

Floyd also hinted that he would be fighting again soon. He urged fans to follow one of his employees, @Jamielynn, to stay tuned for his “next fight.” He also alluded to future involvement with the UFC:

“You already know I’m a money-getting motherfucker. I’m ‘Money May.’ They just called me not too long ago and asked me to come back. I can come right back. If I want to, I can come right back to the UFC. I can go fight in the Octagon. I can do a three- or four-fight deal in the Octagon and make a billion dollars. Remember, I’m Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, and you motherf*****s love me, and I love you motherf*****s.”

It’s hard to tell what we should make of all this. Of course it’s possible that Floyd is just having some fun with the fans, keeping our minds on his brand, and putting his name in the headlines. Then again, if there’s one thing Floyd love’s making, it’s money, and if there’s one thing retired fighters are known for becoming, it’s bored.

Dana White has publicly stated that the UFC will be venturing into boxing, and with his recent business with Floyd, it’s not out of the question that the two could partner to bring boxing to the UFC. As for Floyd entering the ring again, it’s frankly unlikely. And as for him entering Octagon, it’s out of the question.
