FOLLOWING LEVRONE’S FOOTSTEPS: DID JAY CUTLER JUST SAY HE’LL COMPETE AT OLYMPIA?

Generation Iron Jay Cutler Olympia

The rumors suddenly feel so much more real.

What’s the greatest thing about bodybuilding? Is it the competitions? Is it the fact that a person can transform themselves into a comic book superhero? Or does the answer lie deeper than that? The best part of bodybuilding and fitness in general is that it’s an endeavor that can be pursued for all time. If an individual has the resolve and the drive to continue to train, to follow a diet plan, and keep seeking to make gains or at the very least remain shredded then it’s definitely a viable option. It will take far more effort and dedication than it would in your younger years, but it’s certainly possible. That very factor may be what’s making all these former top bodybuilders consider coming out of retirement.

The bodybuilding world recently received the news that Kevin Levrone would be coming out of retirement to take on the young guns at the 2016 Olympia. Now it seems that another retired bodybuilder could be following in his foot steps. The major difference? This retired bodybuilder is a four time Mr. Olympia champion. That’s right. It seems as if Jay Cutler is throwing his hat into the comeback race.

Now before you start going insane – this is all just a suspicion at the moment. In truth Jay Cutler has posted comments alluding to this in the past… with no official follow up. So who knows where this will really take us. But the fact that Kevin Levrone finally made good on all his comeback talk after all these years… it makes it all feel more possible suddenly.

Just a several years back Jay Cutler was the number one bodybuilder in the world. He had defeated Ronnie Coleman to become the Olympia king in 2006 and had avenged a defeat to Dexter Jackson to once again reclaim his title in 2009. Now it seems that a recent Instagram posting from the retired champion is sparking some interest as Culter hints at a possible comeback.

Do you think Kevin Levrone has sparked a comeback trend?
