Schmoes? The part nobody talks about.
Think whatever you want about Lee Priest, the one thing we can all agree on is that he tells it how it is. Maybe it’s the air down there in the Southern Hemisphere but it seems like the Arid landscape produces some rugged and raw individuals (we’re looking at you Crocodile Dundee).
In this Youtube video by Sam’s Fitness Priest is his usual straight-forward self when he speaks on the lesser known “schmoes” side of bodybuilding. So what exactly is a “schmoe”? Not to be confused with the all too popular “schmuck”, a schmoe seems to be a creeper or someone with a strange hidden agenda. We think it’s an Australian thing but we might have to steal that word for the U.S. because we’ve got a bunch of schmoes over here also.

There’s also some insight into the underground world of women’s bodybuilding. From top women competitors wrestling schmoes in hotel rooms to pictures being taken of their feet! While women’s bodybuilding is being taken more seriously and offer bigger contracts than yesteryear, it’s interesting to learn about the hardships they had to go through Priest lets us into the darker side of bodybuilding.
