Former UFC Contender Anthony Johnson Pursuing Bodybuilding?!

Has Anthony Johnson chosen a new and unlikely athletic endeavor?

Anthony “Rumble” Johnson was an absolute wrecking machine during his tenure as a UFC light heavyweight contender. Twice he fought for the UFC light heavyweight championship and twice he fell to champ Daniel Cormier. Then, without warning, Anthony Johnson announced his retirement from combat sports and that he was looking to pursue other ventures outside of fighting.

While we’ve all grown used to the idea that Anthony Johnson was done with competing at the highest level of mixed martial arts, the former number one contender has been bulking up to massive levels, sparking the notion that he’s looking to try his hand at bodybuilding.

Recently Anthony Johnson has been posting a great deal of videos on his social media of the former fighter performing bodybuilding exercises and tagging some of the most prominent bodybuilders in the game today including 212 Olympia champion James “Flex” Lewis. But it seems that Johnson is looking to clear the air with his most recent post.

Comedian and UFC commentator Joe Rogan and former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub also touched on the idea of Anthony Johnson possibly pursuing a bodybuilding career.
