The stage is officially set for the upcoming Shaw Classic and Strongest Man On Earth!
The 2024 Strongest Man On Earth competition is just two weeks away and there is now an official roster with events. The show is scheduled to take place in Loveland, CO from Aug. 16-18.
In April, Brian Shaw shared a list of competitors that was almost complete. There has been two additional competitors put into the show to make it a complete list of 16.
2024 Strongest Man On Earth Lineup

- Wesley Dewinsky
- Thomas Evans
- Lucas Hatton
- Tristain Hoath
- Mitchell Hooper
- Pavlo Kordiyaka
- Trey Mitchell
- Oleksii Novikov
- Matt Ragg
- Evan Singleton
- Aivars Smaukstelis
- Tom Stoltman
- Bobby Thompson
The roster is headlined by Mitchell Hooper. He has taken over the Strongman scene over the last two years. Hooper will defend his World’s Strongest Man title in 2024 and is coming off a victory during the Arnold Strongman Classic in Columbus and the UK. Oleksii Novikov is featured on this list as well. He was forced to withdraw from the 2024 WSM competition due to an unknown reason. Novikov has been dealing with injuries but never officially announced a reason.
Hafthor Bjornsson made his return to Strongman back in March during the Arnold Strongman Classic. He finished fourth during the event and will look to finish even higher.

- Log Lift & Axle Press – Overhead Medley
- Power Medley
- Manhood Stones
- Circus Dumbbell Overhead Medley
- Keg Toss
- Squats
- Fingal’s Fingers into Power Stairs Medley
A glaring absence from the events list is the Hummer Tire Deadlift. Instead, athletes will compete in a max deadlift. Also, Atlas stones have been replaced with Manhood stones. This will be judged by max weight lifted. The heaviest stone that will be present is 600 pounds, which is 30 pounds lighters than the current world record.

2024 Shaw Classic Rosters
Terry Hollands will join the commentary team for the 2024 Shaw Classic. He will join Laurence Shahlaei, who is a former Europe’s Strongest Man champion. Other guests include Jujimufu, nutritionist Nathan Payton, and former Shaw Classic chamion Victoria Long.
