GI WORKOUT SONG OF THE WEEK 1/19/2016

Generation Iron Motorhead

It’s not a game.

If you’re an athlete whose ever had to suffer through a severe injury then you know that it can be damn right soul crushing, that it can test your will and resolve as a competitor. Not only do you have to recover from the injury itself, but if you intend to get back to your old self then that mains rebuilding everything that was lost. It’s a tall task for anyone, especially the professional athlete looking to compete at the highest level at your chosen sport.

If you’ve experienced knee injuries in the past then the chances are you’ve worried at least once about damaging your ACL. It’s perhaps the most feared injury in all of professional sports and can be a career ending injury. Apparently whoever came up with that notion failed to inform the newly crowned UFC batamweight champion Dominick Cruz. The champ not only had to battle back from three separate ACL surgeries, but had to rehabilitate himself and challenge a dominant champion in his return fight. As a former champion it was clear that Cruz had the resolve, but not many people were giving him a chance to win. He proved the doubters wrong. Whether you’re a bodybuilder or a fighter or just a fan of both or neither, Cruz’s comeback is an inspiration, one that should inspire you to get your ass in the gym this week and work on perfecting yourself. Cruz didn’t use his setback as an excuse but rather a goal to accomplish, a mountain to climb. It’s time for us to do the same and strive to better ourselves as well.

We’re going hardcore again this week with a song that will definitely get your testosterone jacked and your blood boiling. We also know a lot of Generation Iron fans also love wrestling – so this song works as a double whammy. It’s the perfect song to get you pumped in the gym and also was Triple H’s entrance music. Get to it.
