Had a good Fourth of July? That’s great. Was it filled with nothing but barbecued burgers, hot dogs, and wings? Did you stuff your face until your stomach was gonna explode? We hope so. Because all the celebrating, relaxing, and massive food intake should be fuel for the fire. Just because it’s summer time already doesn’t mean it’s too late to make some serious gains. If you were on a caloric deficit and stuffed your face to end up in a caloric surplus it’s time to use all those extra calories and go hard in the gym.

The celebrating may be over for now, but this is only the beginning of the week after all and there’s still plenty of work that needs to be done in order for you to make some consistent and quality gains. But it wouldn’t be right to simply just offer you a pep talk and nothing more. That extra food likely has you feeling sluggish and lazy.
