Hadi Choopan has received his visa and landed in the United States ready to compete at the Mr. Olympia 2019.
In surprise news, it has been reported by our companion site Generation Iron Persia that Hadi Choopan has received his US visa, landed in the United States, and is ready to compete in the Mr. Olympia 2019.
This news has been revealed via an instagram post made by Hany Rambod on Friday night.
Hadi Choopan has long been seen as a major threat to the top bodybuilding competitors in the IFBB – but has rarely been able to face off against the best of the best at the Mr. Olympia due to visa issues.
After president Donald Trump announced his travel ban in 2017, it seemed even less likely that Choopan would be able to find a way to earning a visa for the Mr. Olympia competition. While many fans remained hopeful each year – Choopan was often seen as a competitor who would not be in the running for the biggest bodybuilding competition in the world.
Hadi Choopan recently surprised the bodybuilding industry by competing in the Men’s Open Bodybuilding division (and winning) at the Vancouver Pro 2019. This was a size up from his usual Men’s 212 division. Does this mean we will see Choopan face off against the likes of Brandon Curry, Dexter Jackson, and Roelly Winklaar at the Olympia 2019?
