Hafthor Bjornsson Has Lost an Astonishing 110lbs (50kg) For Boxing Match Against Eddie Hall

Hafthor Bjornsson has come to be known for his massive, hulking size.

After all, his bulk and height made him the perfect candidate to play “The Mountain” on the hit series Game of Thrones. But despite dipping his toes into acting, Bjornsson has always been known for his accomplishments as a strongman.

Now that he has retired from competitive strongman, Hafthor Bjornsson has moved on to other ventures. Like bashing in the face of old rival Eddie Hall in their upcoming boxing match.

Strength Wars Movie

Before his battle with Hall, Bjornsson has made it his mission to get into top fighting shape. That means shedding some extra pounds in order to be fleet of foot and ready pounce.

In order to drop the weight, Bjornsson has been on a strict diet and training regimen.

After getting noticeably slimmer, questions have been circling as to his current weight. In a recent Twitch stream, Hafthor Bjornsson answered some of his fan’s questions. When the 2018 World’s Strongest Man champion was asked about his current weight, Bjornsson answered with the following.

“I currently weighing around 156 kilograms, roughly.”

To put it into perspective Hafthor Bjornsson has lost 50kg (110lbs) since May when he broke the world record for the heaviest deadlift. He weighed 206kg (454lbs) during that time and is now down to 156kg (343.9 lbs). It just goes to show how serious Bjornsson is about his upcoming boxing match.
