Meet Tony Sentmanat.

When it comes to bodybuilding the goal is to be as ripped and as huge as possible while being able to rid your body of fat. It’s a talent that not everyone possesses. How far you can push your body may be the difference between giving up on traveling the long road to success or quite simply the genetics you were born with. Either way, the reality is that few people can get to the level of a Phil Heath or Kai Greene. But that doesn’t mean the average Joe is doomed to never put on massive muscle.

The most common knock on bodybuilders is that they aren’t functionally strong. They have too much muscle to perform at a high level in more practical athletic endeavors. Well for all those who say guys with massive muscle aren’t agile or functionally strong, we present to you Tony Sentmanat. A marine veteran and a SWAT operator, Sentmanat is the definition of a badass with some pretty massive muscle. Besides pushing heavy weight, Sentmanat is also a mixed martial arts practitioner with a dedication to his craft and a trainer in both combat and firearms. If you don’t think the man’s hardcore then check out these videos from his Instagram.

Hey guys sorry I’ve been gone for a week I had to reevaluate my priorities in life and career but Iam back at it. Here is some Bicep training using @arazifitness gloves I’ve been testing them out great piece of gear for cable and band resistance addition to your muscle development and strength program. Superset vbar curls close grip and medium grip 1 set 10 reps each grip for a total of 20 reps for 4 sets. On the 3rd and 4th set I ran a reverse dropset to the 45 plates did a little kipping to positive failure. My 12 week hybrid training and diet combo program is still available guys any one interested email me [email protected] have a great night #fitnessmotivation #fitnessjourney #fitnessinspiration #stfuat #gymlife #functionalfitness #strengthtraining #bodybuilding #gymvideos #usmc #molonlabe #beastmode #dailybadass #staythecourse #donttreadonme #1stphorm #neversettle #legionofboom #nodaysoff #arazifitness #curls #bodybuilding #bodybuildingnation #power #resistancetraining #doyoueven #fitnessvideos #nevergiveup #trainhard #neverquit

If that’s not enough proof of the big man’s athletic ability then check out this video of the SWAT operator doing what he does best.

Some burpee shooting today, with my new @lalotactical boots thanks to @austinweiss for some testing and evaluation. Did several drills today ran seven holes in this miniature vtac barricade, 20 burpees with tuck jumps for heart rate elevation in between each shooting session for 5 sets, 100 burpees total, 1 minute rest in between sets, this particular barricade is alittle smaller than the regular making it alittle harder for me because of my body type, and flexibility, I was shooting at 10 yards on a C Zone steel target. My average burpee time was 40-45 seconds for 20 and under 15 seconds for the shooting portion, the last 2 drills my shooting slowed significantly due to my vision becoming blurry because of the sweat, fatigue and breathing. The drill goal is to keep it under 1 minute for the whole set. @b19soup @motivate_an_inspire @mr_instructor #usmc #2a #2ndamendment #glockfanatics #gunfanatics #sickguns #gunspictures #molonlabe #donttreadonme #staythecourse #neversettle #1stphorm #nodaysoff #dailybadass #beastmode #vtacbarricade #fightback #neverquit #trainhard #tacticalfitness #burpees #tacticaltraining #gunvideos #shootingday #rangeday #shootingvideos #weaponsreloaded #gunporn A video posted by Tony Sentmanat (@realworld_tactical) on May 15, 2015 at 11:04am PDT

Moral of the story is that even if you have some massive muscle on your frame doesn’t mean you’ll lack functional strength and ability. Train smart and hard and you can attain the same athleticism as Tony Sentmanat.
