Bodybuilding is always on the move. There can be an absolutely dominant champion who turns away all challengers, establishes themselves as the unquestioned greatest in the world, and hold the position of number one for several years.
Then the new kid on the block enters the scene and upsets the balance.

As it stands now, Brandon Curry is atop the heap in the Open Weight division, dominating at the 2019 Olympia. But like Phil Heath, Jay Cutler, Ronnie Coleman, and many others before him, the landscape in the division can change drastically at the drop of a hat.
