Iron Biby broke his own world record during the 2024 World Log Lift Challenge!

Cheick Sanou, known as Iron Biby, came into the 2024 Giants Live World Log Lift Challenge with high hopes of reaching a mark that no one has before. He has shown his world-class strength at different events over the years and was able to take it to another level. Biby was able to set a new world record with a 231kg (509.3lb) log lift during the event.

The log lift is a movement that has been on a quick rise over the years. The weight has gotten significantly higher for lifters compared to a decade ago. Iron Biby is a reason for this and there is a chance that he holds this record for quite some time.

Sanou first took the log lift world record at the 2022 Giants Live World Tour Finals with a lift of 228kg. He took the record from Zydrunas Savickas, who held it since 2015. Biby has held the record since and was event able to beat it once before. In 2023, Biby broke his own record with a 230kg (507lb) lift and was able to top it once again.

Iron Biby Sets Log Lift World Record

The World Log Lift Challenge took place on Saturday in Birmingham, England. Many elite competitors flocked to the competition looking to make a lasting impact on the sport. Once again, Iron Biby stood out among the crowd.

Biby’s performance began with a 185kg (407.9lb) lift as a warmup. He completed this lift multiple times before taking on the new challenge of setting a world record.

Iron Biby shared multiple lifts leading up to this event on social media but did not attempt the world record on many occasions. He seemed to keep his training sessions on the lighter side to avoid injuries leading up the the competition. Now that he has set a new mark, he can focus on his next competition. That will come on September 28 in Las Vegas during the Giants Live USA Strongman Championships.

Biby will enter as one of the top competitors once again. He has been able to make a name for himself using his elite strength and is widely considered as one of the strongest men in the world.
