The popular choice vs the right choice.

Every week, Iron Cinema will connect you with Generation Iron director Vlad Yudin. Giving you unprecedented inside access to the creative process behind his the Generation Iron Fitness Network. Get a first hand look at the entire journey of taking Vlad’s creative ideas to the big screen – from stories on set of films like Generation Iron and CT Fletcher all the way to exclusive behind-the-scene looks at our newest GI news and films. This week Vlad sits down with the head judge of the IFBB Pro, Steve Weinberger to talk about how the judging process works and how he deals with harsh fan criticism.

As the head judge of the IFBB Pro – Steve Weinberger is a central figure in the past, present, and future of the IFBB. This also makes him one of the major faces of the IFBB and judging committee. What I’ve always found interesting is that while there is most definitely a certain criteria for judging a bodybuilder’s form… it’s also a fairly subjective decision. It’s not uncommon for fans to criticize judge choices – especially after major competitions such as the Mr. Olympia. That’s why I took some time to sit down with Steve over at his gym, the Bev Francis Powerhouse Gym, and get some insight into how he deals with fan criticism and what the future holds for the IFBB. You can watch it above.
