IS THIS BODYBUILDER A TRUE GOLIATH OR SYNTHOL CHEATER?

Generation Iron Bodybuilder or Synthol

Where is the line drawn?

Bodybuilding isn’t a cake walk. It’s hard damn work. If you want to build meaningful size and muscle then you’re going to need to understand this: from the beginning all the way to the end of your mass building journey – you’ll be working your ass off to make constant improvements. Bodybuilding is hard and so is making consistent gains. And that’s the whole damn point.

No one should begin bodybuilding thinking they’re going to have a simple time, a walk in the park, a relaxing adventure to all kinds of aesthetics. Anyone that thinks that way is guaranteed to break under the pressure, the pressure that building muscle is a torturous, monotonous, and even at times boring venture. It takes an almost supernatural determination, an unbreakable will. That’s what makes the men and women at the top of the mountain so special. They aren’t afraid to work their asses off to make improvements.

.

That kind of dedication is what makes cheaters hard to stomach. The people that use synthol to add bulk to their form without putting in the hard work are treated with hate and scorn throughout the community and with good reason. To accomplish something through hard work and unshakable will is truly something to be admire. To take a shortcut to try and make that happen is somewhat insulting to those who put in the hours at the gym, to those prepping their meals correctly for the right macronutrients. Synthol or other oils of the like are tools that no meaningful bodybuilder should ever consider.

Which brings us to Craig Golias. Now before we go throwing accusations around, Golias is a man who has been training for quite some time and can haul a tremendous amount of weight to boot. But there are many accusing Golias of using synthetics to shape his form. We’re not totally convinced of that. Every time theirs a bodybuilder out there that makes impressive gains there will always be an outcry and accusations of synthol use. Should Craig Golias be lumped into that catergory? Take a look at the video below and judge for yourself.

Are we becoming a community that is content to point the finger at what we don’t understand? Should we be putting bodybuilders on trial if they don’t meet the criteria of what we believe is normal?
