Jay Cutler decided to see what the hype was about surrounding Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Jay Cutler stuck to a strict diet plan during his career and this led to building a championship physique. One thing that was not part of his diet was Kentucky Fried Chicken. At 50 years old, Cutler decided to make his first trip. On Tuesday, Cutler shared a video on Instagram as he tried KFC for the very first time.

“It’s my first time in Kentucky Fried Chicken ever, so. 50 years.”

After retiring without significant injuries or health issues, Cutler keeps an impeccable, admirable physique. Cutler just rounded up a Fit for 50 challenge where he successfully transformed his physique for his 50th birthday. He aims to maintain his physique during this next chapter of his life.

Cutler enjoyed a career on stage that landed him four Olympia titles. He was part of one of the all-time great bodybuilding rivalries with Ronnie Coleman. Cutler ended Coleman’s legendary streak of wins in 2006 and started his own, winning four of the next five Olympias.

Jay Cutler Gives Honest Rating Of KFC

Jay Cutler sat down with a bag of KFC and tried some of the biggest items on the menu. This includes chicken strips, a sandwich, and mashed potatoes.

After initially dropping the bag, he tried the legendary chicken but was not impressed.

“What are you supposed to do? These are the tenders, huh? Am I blown away? It’s okay. It’s not great.

4 outta 10. The iced tea is pretty good though.”

Jay Cutler took his diet extremely seriously over the course of his career. During many different podcast appearances, Cutler has discussed what it was like eating 6-7 times per day and packing in as much protein as he did.

Cutler once shared that he followed a plan that had him eating 140 egg whites and four pounds of meat on a daily basis.

“I BOUGHT A COW FROM THE BUTCHER. I WAS LIVING IN A PLACE CALLED SPENCER, MASSACHUSETTS. I HAD A LOCAL BUTCHER THERE SO I’D ACTUALLY BUY ALL THE MEAT AND I WOULD HAVE TWO FREEZERS. SO, WHAT I WOULD DO IS I WOULD BUY THE CHICKEN AND BREAK IT ALL DOWN INTO TWO-POUND BAGS AND FREEZE IT.”

In retirement, Cutler has maintained a shredded physique and is just as disciplined as ever in the kitchen. He decided to try something he never has before and by his reaction, this might be his only trip to KFC.
