KAI GREENE SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON IFBB’S INVOLVEMENT REGARDING MR. OLYMPIA

Generation Iron Kai Greene IFBB

“Don’t blame Jim Manion.”

If you’re a true bodybuilding fan then you undoubtedly know about Kai Greene’s recent announcement about his inability to compete at this years Olympia. The bodybuilding world was caught off guard by the news. After last years heated event, fans and onlookers were looking forward to this years showdown between Greene and reigning champion Phil Heath. Kai’s withdrawal from the competition has left a mark on the event and his presence will surely be missed.

In the video that Kai released, the bodybuilder stated that he wasn’t “allowed” to compete which has led to many fans and spectators to believe that the IFBB are directly responsible for Kai’s withdrawl from the competition. But according to Greene it seems like this may not be the case at all. Take a look at what Kai had to say about the IFBB’s involvement in this incident.

We’ve been receiving a TREMENDOUS amount of support for which I can not simply put into words but more so in actions that can show themselves to be ever given to everyone! I’d like everyone to be mindful as the #IFBB & #NPC are not responsible for the outcome of which has presented itself. Jim Manion / Rafael Santoja / Steve Weinburger and all the judges around the world all have been supporters of my vision and we encourage to continue to support the organizations. We’ve worked extremely hard to present ourselves on stage this weekend and I recognize that I am not the only one… Let’s please shift attention, to the many competitors competing this weekend, for they have sacrificed just as much to be on stage. We must support them as after-all they do it for you guys! Wishing my fellow competitors & friends much success this upcoming weekend. #KaiGreene
