After Years Of Avoidance, Kevin Levrone Deadlifts For The First Time?!

Kevin Levrone has never done a deadlift?!

When people think about bodybuilder training there’s no doubt that the big three exercises are likely to be every athlete’s go to movements. The bench, the squat, and the deadlift. But not everyone uses these three exercises during their training. Whether it’s do injury or some other mitigating factor, some individuals pick and choose what exercises work for them. The deadlift can actually make the waist thicker and is a big reason certain bodybuilders avoid performing the exercise altogether. One of those athletes is Kevin Levrone.

Despite his high level of success during his bodybuilding career, Kevin Levrone has apparently never resorted to utilizing the deadlift. The veteran bodybuilder has never performed the movement in order to maintain a tapered waist. But at this point in his career it appears that Kevin Levrone is looking to make a change and switch things up in order to maximize his training.

In the post below, Kevin Levrone details his reasoning for finally choosing to deadlift. Take a look at the Instagram post below for videos and details.

I’m feeling great right now training at @exilefitness because I’m healthy. Finally at a point where I can train balls to the walls like I used to. I have never deadlifted in my life/career because I’ve heard it makes the midsection thicker but I’m not worried about that anymore. Time to pull out all stops so I’m doing what’s needed to get my body firing ?% again. This one is for my training partner Father Time, he’s been getting his butt handed to him lately. Mind Over Matter. SHAABOOM #ifbbpro #cardilloweightbelt #levrone #exilefitness #kevinlevrone #motivationmonday #determination #deadlift @cardilloweightbelts thanks for holding me together ?
