Georgian Olympic gold medalist Lasha Talakhadze is an absolute beast.

The powerhouse weightlifter showcased some impressive strength. At a recent Georgian weightlifting meet, Lasha Talakhadze destroyed an unofficial world record snatch. The Olympic gold medalist pulled a massive 222 kg (489 lbs) snatch on his fourth attempt after hitting 205, 212, and 218 kg prior.

Heaviest snatch of all-time! NEW!!! @talakhadzelasha_official smashes an unofficial world record of 222kg/488lbs on his 4th – yes, 4th! – attempt at a national Georgian competition.⁣ ⁣ Lasha went 4 for 4 in the snatch with 205kg / 212kg / 218kg (shown) / 222kg (shown), two kilos over his all-time world record snatch. ⁣ ⁣ Clean and jerks are in two hours… Stay tuned!⁣ ⁣ Huge thank you to the Georgian Weightlifting Federation for sending @weightlifting_house the videos.⁣ ⁣ ?️‍♂️?⁣ #weightliftinghouse

255kg for @talakhadzelasha_official on his second attempt after a 240kg opener. The live stream ended after this, so we are assuming that he passed on his third attempt. Either that or he did something so filthy they don’t want anyone knowing!⁣ ⁣ Together with the 222kg snatch that’s a 477kg total, something that only he himself has surpassed in international competition. ⁣ ⁣ @weightlifting_house ⁣ ?️‍♂️?⁣ #weightliftinghouse
