Lionel Beyeke to miss the Arnold Classic.

It appears that too bodybuilding competitor Lionel Beyeke is out of the 2021 Arnold Classic. The veteran bodybuilder broke the news on his social media account and the reasoning is quite frustrating.

Just when we lose one top flight competitor, another is knocked out of the biggest shows of the year. It appears that Lionel Beyeke will have to wait for his chance to step on stage once again. After being out of competition for some time now, Beyeke hoped to return at the 2021 Arnold Classic. But it appears that the bodybuilder will be barred from competing at the show just a couple of weeks out.

Out of the Arnold Classic

Lionel Beyeke revealed on his social media that he’ll be unable to compete due to the global health issue. While Beyeke did not contract the virus, the sickness is still to cause for his inability to compete. Being a French citizen it appears that Beyeke can’t gain access to travel to the US in time for the show. No doubt there are a number of hurdles in the way and Beyeke hasn’t enough time to clear them.

Lionel Beyeke took to social media to explain why he won’t be able to compete at this year’s show.

“From The Desk of Lionel  please read below.

“I want to thank all of you, my supporters, followers and fans for all the encouragement. It is truly priceless.

“I had planned to make 2021 a special year because of all the difficulties brought on by the pandemic. I prepared for competitions and even changed my coaching team and strategies to be in the best shape of my life.

“My good friend and brother @georgefarah_guru is still the main man for my technology and I acknowledge his significant contribution thank you brother 🙏🏾.

“Unfortunately, the scourge of the virus has prevented French citizens from gaining entry into the US in time for me to compete and achieve my objectives. One of these objectives that I have not been able to fulfill is to be able to participate in the Arnold Classic 2021 this year. This is a regret that I must put behind me as I continue to work hard to be even better for the upcoming competitions which I hope to be be able to attend.”

This is truly an upsetting turn of events. Right when you think the situation is calming something like this gives a healthy reminder that we’re not quite out of the woods yet.
