“Chris has nothing for me…”

Current UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold was at UFC fight night 84 this past weekend and he had something to say. Though he wasn’t on the card, he had front row seats at the 02 Arena in London in order to catch the competition at his weight class. In the end Michael Bisping scored a hard earned victory via unanimous decision on his home soil. Despite the fights on the card, Luke Rockhold only had one name on his mind – Weidman.

“This time, it’s going to be even clearer. With a full camp h no infections, no illness I’m going to finish him quicker,” “Chris has nothing for me. He’s going down again either by knockout or TKO. I don’t mind which one, I’ll go in there and see what happens but it’ll be an even easier night for me.”

Rockhold kick Confident man. In case you missed the first fight back in Dec 12, 2015 – Luke Rockhold defeated the former champ Chris Weidman via TKO in round 4 of the 5 round bout. With some of the most vicious ground and pound you’ll ever see, some people think the fight was warranted to be stopped in the third. What made it even more super human is that he was suffering from staph infection – with a teammate saying he was seconds away from pulling out of the bout. So what’s next after beating Chris Weidman via TKO for the second time? Well, this guys certainly ain’t going to Disney World.

“I have a few guys left for me here and then we will see. I’ll handle the division here and then I’m always free to move up. I don’t think Cormier is going to be around forever and I’m a lot younger so there’s potential if he was to step down and step out then I would definitely move up and challenge.”

Strong words. Will Luke Rockhold go from playing Jon Jones for AKA teammate Daniel Cormier to dancing with the devil for real. Looks like he’s got some “Bones” to pick. Middleweight champ fights Chris Weidman for the second time in the rematch heard round the world at UFC 199 in June! rockhold belt
