Stoltman showed the video of himself jumping into water that caused his injury.
Strongman Luke Stoltman recently announced that he would be sidelined after suffering a broken leg from a jump. Stoltman has now shared the video of the incident that caused the injury.
Stoltman jumped off a pier into water wanting to go for a swim in the sea. He anticipated the water being deeper than it was. Stoltman shared that he expected the water to be about five meters deep but instead, it was about up to his chest once he stood up. Stoltman initially believed that it was an ankle injury but then realized that his leg was broken.
Stoltman explained on social media how the injury occurred and his initial thoughts:
“I ran and I jumped. I was like, this is taking ages, uh-oh, and then boom, crashed into the water and the leg snapped. My right leg snapped when I landed in the water. Then I stood up and the water was up to about my chest height.”
This is not the first time that Stoltman will be sidelined with an injury. His focus now will be rehab and getting back to full strength. He will miss multiple events and hopes to be back at the end of the year.

Luke Stoltman To Miss World’s & Europe’s Strongest Man Events
Luke Stoltman shared a video earlier this week announcing that he suffered this injury and would be sidelined. He confirmed that he will miss both the World’s Strongest Man and Europe’s Strongest Man competitions.
Stoltman has competed in the WSM in each of the last 10 years. He has finished seventh three times. He has a great history in the Europe’s Strongest Man event, winning twice with the most recent coming in 2024. Stoltman has yet to win a WSM event but continues to be one of the top competitors in the world in different areas.
After competing at the biggest event of the year in 2024, Stoltman announced that he suffered a torn biceps tendon. This came after his victory in Europe and continued into the WSM, which is where the injury might have intensified. He was forced to miss time and is in the same boat once again. Stoltman hopes to return at the end of the year during the Giants Live Glasgow in October.
