Luke Stoltman Wins 2024 Europe’s Strongest Man

Here are the full results from the 2024 Europe’s Strongest Man!

The 2024 Europe’s Strongest Man competition took place from Leeds,UK on Saturday. There was a total of five events that competitors took on over the course of the day as they fought for a title. In the end, it was Luke Stoltman earning the title.

Stoltman was victorious in this event back in 2021. He came in as one of the favorites and performed like it all afternoon.

  • Second Place – Aivars Smaukstelis, 43
  • Third Place – Oleksii Novikov, 40
  • Fourth Place – Ondra Fojtu, 38
  • Fifth Place – Shane Flowers, 36.5
  • Sixth Place – Nicolas Cambi, 35
  • Seventh Place – Rauno Heinla, 33
  • Eighth Place – Pa O’Dwyer, 33
  • Ninth Place – Pavlo Kordiyaka, 33

Event One – Nicole Stones

The event began with Nicole Stones. This is where athletes were asked to pick up one giant stone with each hand. They differed in weight. One stone weighed 114kg (251.3lb) while the other weighed in at 139kg (306.4lb). Once the stones were lifted, competitors had to walk as far as possible, measured in meters.

  • First Place – Ondra Fojtu, 24.18m
  • Second Place – Shane Flowers, 22.62m
  • Third Place – Aivars Smaukstelis, 20m
  • Fourth Place – Luke Stoltman, 20m
  • Fifth Place – Pavlo Kordiyaka, 17.15m
  • Sixth Place – Pa O’Dwyer, 16.91m
  • Seventh Place – Fredrik Johansson, 14.63
  • Eighth Place – Rauno Heinla, 14.13m
  • Ninth Place – Nicolas Cambi, 13.93m
  • 10th Place –  Oleksii Novikov, 13m
  • 11th Place – Gavin Bilton, 12.64m

Event Two – Car Walk

The Car Walk was the second event of the competition. A Strongman classic, athletes picked up the frame of a car that weighed 450kg (992lb). The course was 20 meters long and competitors were timed. The athlete who completed it in the fastest time possible would earn the highest amount of points.

  • First Place – Luke Stoltman, 16.13s
  • Second Place – Nicolas Cambi, 16.57s
  • Third Place – Oleksii Novikov, 16.67s
  • Fourth Place – Pavlo Kordiyaka, 16.73s
  • Fifth Place – Konstantine Janashia, 22.38s
  • Sixth Place – Aivars Smaukstelis, 24.33s
  • Seventh Place – Ondra Fojtu, 26.09s
  • Eighth Place – Pa O’Dwyer, 27.69s
  • Ninth Place – Rauno Heinla, 29.16s
  • 10th Place – Gavin Bilton, 32.16s
  • 11th Place – Shane Flowers, 41.54s

Event Three – Deadlift Ladder

The Deadlift Ladder featured five barbells with different weights. It began with a 300kg (661.4lb) weight and went up until 380kg (837.8lb). The overall goal was to complete all five lifts in the shortest time possible. If a competitor completed all five, they would finish above competitors who completed less, regardless of time.

  • First Place – Rauno Heinla, 5 in 41.28s
  • Second Place – Oleksii Novikov, 5 in 47.91s
  • Third Place – Fredrik Johansson, 5 in 50.60s
  • Fourth Place – Pa O’Dwyer, 5 in 61.35s
  • Fifth Place – Nicolas Cambi, 4 in 30.02s
  • Sixth Place – Aivars Smaukstelis, 4 in 31.65s
  • Seventh Place – Shane Flowers, 4 in 31.65s
  • Eighth Place – Gavin Bilton, 4 in 32.77s
  • Ninth Place – Ondra Fojtu, 4 in 35.23s
  • 10th Place – Luke Stoltman, 4 in 52.76s
  • 11th Place – Pavlo Kordiyaka, 4 in 62.53s

Event Four – Viking Press

The Viking Press is an event for reps where athletes would lift wooden logs on a machine. Another Strongman classic tested strength in many ways for competitors.

  • Third Place – Luke Stoltman, 13
  • Fourth Place – Aivars Smaukstelis, 13
  • Fifth Place – Nicolas Cambi, 13

  • Eighth Place – Gavin Bilton, 11
  • Ninth Place – Pa O’Dwyer, 8
  • 10th Place – Rauno Heinla, 6

Event Five – Castle Stones

The final event of the competition was Castle Stones. There were five stones that ranged in weight. Competitors were asked to pick up the awkward stones and place them on platforms that went up in height. The athlete who completed all five stones in the shortest amount of time would be victorious.

  • First Place – Shane Flowers, 5 in 18.53s
  • Second Place – Luke Stoltman, 5 in 18.58s
  • Third Place – Aivars Smaukstelis, 5 in 18.58s
  • Fourth Place – Rauno Heinla, 5 in 24.6s
  • Fifth Place – Pa O’Dwyer, 5 in 27.04s
  • Sixth Place – Pavlo Kordiyaka, 5 in 27.52s
  • Seventh Place – Gavin Bilton, 5 in 39.53s
  • Eighth Place – Oleksii Novikov, 4 in 21.07s
  • Ninth Place – Ondra Fojtu, 4 in 21.32s
  • 10th Place – Nicolas Cambi, 4 in 32.78s
