Mahsa Akbarimehr turned pro at the NPC Universe Championships.
This weekend held the NPC Universe Championships in Teaneck New Jersey – and a major first time moment occurred in the Bikini division. Competitor Mahsa Akbarimehr landed second place in her group of the bikini competitions, earning her a IFBB pro card. But what makes this significant is that she is the first ever Persian Bikini competitor to go pro.
Mahsa has only been a US citizen for less than a year – showcasing how hard work and determination can lead to great results! Bodybuilding is truly an international sport – and the more barriers competitors across the world break, the more excitement in each division we will have during major competitions.
