Dynzell Sigers wanted to reach six-feet tall and used a surgery to lengthen his limbs.

There are certain qualities that human beings do not have control over — one of them being height. Dynzell Sigers decided to take matters into his own hands after a lifetime of insecurities regarding his height. Sigers dropped over $80,000 on leg-lengthening surgery to make himself taller.

According to the New York Post, Sigers struggled with an insecurity regarding his height.

“All my life, I struggled with viewing myself as a small person and no matter what I did to change it, I always felt the same. Limb lengthening gave me the opportunity to change my life and the way I perceive life as a whole.”

Sigers recalls being turned down by a crush of his because he was “too shore and too young.” Since then, his height was always in his mind when attempting to speak to a woman.

“I held onto that and would always consider my height before approaching women, which would often cause me to miss out on opportunities.”

The process involved six surgeries, which Sigers began at the end of 2022. This was to cut the bone in half, insert a rod, and attach external fixators that lengthened the bone over 90 das when turned. The rod will be removed when the bone is grown in. This process could take up to one year.

Sigers claims that his recovery is going well and he is beginning to learn how to walk again.

“At the end of the 90 days, when you research your desired height, which is a maximum of four inches on the upper leg and three inches on the lower leg, the external fixator is removed and the internal rod is left in place.”

Commenters could not believe that someone would go through this surgery. There was also one that compared it to bodybuilders using steroids.

“The real question we should be asking: is this any better than our bodybuilding role models abusing anabolic steroids? Both are dangerous decisions predicated on our lust for external validation.”

“Bro gotta wait 4 years just to be able to walk again.”

“He will soon discover it changes nothing (except the pain of the operation).”

According to Sigers, he does not regret anything and believes that this will help him, both mentally and psychically, moving forward.

“I have no regrets and decided to share my journey with the world to let other men who feel the same know that there is another option for them…I feel like a new man and as though I was able to get a second chance at life.”
