Melvin Anthony, an iconic poser in bodybuilding, looks to be getting back in shape.
Not all bodybuilding fans may know Melvin Anthony at the front of their memory. Especially in the modern era of bodybuilding with social media and bodybuilding websites constantly bombarding fans with constant updates about notable greats, Olympia champions, and bodybuilding influencers. But Anthony will be remembered by some as one of the greatest bodybuilding posers to ever step on stage.
“Marvelous” Melvin Anthony won the 1999 USA Championships and three IFBB pro shows. He was fifth in the 2006 Mr. Olympia and sixth the following two years. He last competed in 2010 Phoenix Pro, which he won. He then later retired from bodybuilding and later was arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
While there hasn’t been much reporting on Melvin Anthony since then – it appears the bodybuilder is looking to get back into some serious shape based on the latest video he’s posted online. Compiled here by Fazi Fitness in his latest bodybuilding update video – Anthony can be seen in the gym training like a beast. We’re not sure of his prison status at the moment (and have not yet been able to receive confirmation) but perhaps one day in the future we’ll see a massive and lean Melvin Anthony again.
