Everybody is looking incredible heading up to the 212 at the Olympia this year.

With all the drama surrounding Phil Heath, Shawn Rhoden, and Big Ramy not competing this year, almost all the talk has been centered on how much of a toss up the Mr. O title is for the 2019 show. But we’re not talking enough about how competitive it’s gotten in the 212 division.

This year more than ever, the 212 athletes are motivated to change the game and challenge the status quo. A lot of the legends are moving aside, bringing up big questions about who’s going to stand out in this new era. Just look at the conditioning on athletes like Derek Lunsford this close to the Olympia. This is the first time in 10 years that we don’t have a chance for a repeat champion. We’re just as likely to see some ground shifting under the arena in this competition as well.
