Jeremy Potvin discussed his recent diagnosis on social media.
Men’s Physique bodybuilder Jeremy Potvin shared that he has been diagnosed with Stage 1 kidney cancer.
On Wednesday, Potvin took to Instagram to share the news and discuss the battle he is now dealing with. Potvin has been working his way back from a torn bicep that kept him on the shelf in 2024.
“Officially diagnosed with Stage 1 kidney cancer. Life happens and there will be setbacks”
Potvin continued to open up about this recent new:
“What matters the most is how you navigate those said setbacks. You can choose to feel defeated, or you can choose to conquer. I’ve always chosen to rise above and that ain’t changing now. I’ll speak more on this another time. Went on about my day no differently than any other. Got my workout in and posed, and spent time with family.”
Jeremy Potvin Battling Back To Bodybuilding
Jeremy Potvin last competed in 2023. He finished as the runner-up at the Republic of Texas Pro before a Top 10 finish at the Olympia. Potvin has been dealing with an injury that kept him off stage in 2024.
Potvin earned his Pro Card in 2014 with a victory at the NPC National Championships. He jumped right into action in 2015 with a third-place finish at the San Jose Pro. Potvin would go onto make his Olympia debut the next year after winning the 2016 Grand Prix. He finished third in the biggest show of the year.
Potvin has competed at the Olympia five times during his career. He has finished in the top five twice with his third place honor being the highest he has finished. Potvin has two victories with the other coming during the Tournament of Champions in 2019. Recently, Potvin impressed on stage during the 2022 Chicago Pro, finishing as the runner-up.
Jeremy Potvin has been active on social media and open about the setbacks he has faced during his career. He continues to share different workouts and posing videos to show fans his current physique. Potvin will undoubtedly battle back and continue on with what has been a successful career.
