Mullet Man Trolls Muscle Beach Bodybuilder Over Workout Form in Hilarious Viral Video

A soda-slugging Australian offers unsolicited workout advice to a massive bodybuilder at Muscle Beach

There is no shortage of people offering unsolicited workout advice at the gym, but one man at California’s famous Muscle Beach may have taken things to a whole new level.

A viral video making the rounds on social media shows a mullet-sporting Australian man casually approaching a massive bodybuilder in the middle of his workout at Muscle Beach in Venice, California. Armed with a can of soda, sunglasses, and apparently unlimited confidence, the man decides to offer some pointers on proper lifting technique.

As you might expect, the advice does not go over particularly well.

Preferred source

The hilarious exchange quickly escalates into a confrontation between the shirtless bodybuilder and his considerably less muscular critic.

And whether the entire thing was staged or simply an unfortunate encounter between two very different gym personalities, the results are pretty entertaining.

Bodybuilder Loses Patience With Unsolicited Workout Advice at Muscle Beach

The video begins with the Australian approaching the bodybuilder as he works through a set.

“I’m from Australia. This comes from a place of love, but, like, you can slow down a bit,” the man says.

The bodybuilder is immediately less than thrilled with the interruption and challenges the stranger’s qualifications to offer workout advice.

“Look at my physique and look at your physique,” the bodybuilder fires back, pointing out the rather obvious difference in their muscular development.

It’s a fair observation. After all, one man looks like he spends most of his waking hours in the weight room, while the other looks like he may have wandered over from a nearby beach party.

But the Australian has an explanation for his less-than-shredded appearance.

“It’s water weight from creatine,” he replies.

That might be one of the greatest excuses for carrying a few extra pounds ever delivered at a bodybuilding gym.

Creatine can indeed increase water retention within muscles, particularly when someone first begins supplementing with it. However, it is unlikely to explain the entire difference between these two physiques.

Unfortunately, the bodybuilder does not appear to appreciate the joke.

As the exchange continues, the Australian realizes that his attempt at providing helpful coaching has gone completely off the rails.

He suggests the two have gotten off on the wrong foot and asks whether they can start the conversation over.

The bodybuilder is having none of it.

“Stop talking to me,” he repeatedly demands, growing increasingly frustrated with his unwanted personal trainer.

Eventually, the Australian apologizes and the confrontation comes to an end.

Social Media Reacts to Hilarious Muscle Beach Encounter

The video has also generated plenty of laughs on Reddit, where commenters had a field day with the exchange.

One user joked that the bodybuilder was simply upset because the Australian failed to bring him a little cup of creatine, comparing the encounter to visiting a petting zoo.

Another sarcastically observed that the two men looked like twins… maybe he meant this type of twins.

Other commenters suggested that the Australian’s behavior was a familiar form of humor Down Under, where deliberately provoking someone with ridiculous comments can be part of the joke.

Of course, it remains unclear whether the confrontation was completely authentic or a staged comedy sketch designed to go viral.

Either way, the Australian deserves some credit for maintaining a straight face while delivering his creatine defense.

And for anyone planning to visit Muscle Beach anytime soon, perhaps wait until someone finishes their set before offering workout advice.

Especially if your only credentials are a mullet and a can of soda.
