Do we have a new rivalry on our hands in the Physique division?
Everyone loves a good rivalry now and again. Where would baseball be without memorable rivalries like the Yankees versus the Red Sox. Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacqiuao may not have been the most exciting of boxing matches, but the lead up to the contest had everyone on the edge of their seats. In bodybuilding the rivalry between reigning Olympia champion Phil Heath and the talented Kai Greene has breathed new life into the sport and has generated a great deal of interest. Now it seems that a potential rivalry could be brewing in the Men’s Physique division as well.
Two time Men’s Physique Olympia champion Jeremy Buendia has been impressive ever since capturing the crown in 2014. Though the young champion may have had an unofficial rivalry with Sadik Hadzovic, a rivalry pushed primarily by the fans, Buendia has never really had any disagreements with his fellow competitors in the division. Or at least that was the case until now.

It seems as if the reigning champion could be hoping to jump start a rivalry with another Men’s Physique competitor, one that has returned to competition after an extended absence. Jeff Seid was once known as the youngest IFBB pro on the roster, but ever since receiving his pro card he has competed in a great many competitions. But after competing at the Stockholm Pro show it seems that eyes are once again fixed on the young bodybuilder and Jeremy Buendia has Seid in his sights. Take a look at the Instagram posting below.
But Buendia’s message wasn’t lost on Jeff Seid. The young bodybuilder fired back with a response that more than confirms that the rivalry is on.
