The NPC and IFBB Pro league expands with the introduction of the Fit Model division
The IFBB Pro League continues to grow and make changes each year. That will continue as the calendar prepares to turn to 2025. On Tuesday, NPC/IFBB Pro League Vice President Tyler Manion shared that the NPC and NPC Worldwide will introduce the Fit Model division in bodybuilding beginning next year.
Manion explained that this division is to create new opportunities for women interested in breaking into bodybuilding.
“This division will be called the Fit Model division. Now what is the purpose of this division and what are we looking for?
To really create the most entry level division on our women’s side of the sport. We want the peak look to be what Ashley Kaltwasser looked like when she won the Olympia in 2015.”

Tyler Manion Announces New Division In Bodybuilding
The new Fit Model division will be implemented in the NPC and NPC Worldwide beginning in 2025. The IFBB Pro League will start in 2026. Competitors will get the chance to step on stage in this division around the world, not just in the U.S.
Manion continued to discuss what will be taken into account when competing and it is different than requirements in the Bikini division.
“What we’re looking for in this division is less muscle and less development than you’d see in the Bikini division. We’re going to be looking for balance between the upper and lower body but the conditioning is less than the Bikini division.
We don’t really want to see separation between the muscles. We don’t want to see rounded delts. From the back, we’re looking for full glutes and some glute development with no clear tie ins and not full development in the glutes. Hamstrings should not be visible at all.”

The suits will also be different. Manion shared that there will be no bling on solid colored suits.
“No bling is going to be permitted on the suits. The suits are going to be solid in cover. When it comes to the cuts, we want to see moderate coverage on the bikini bottoms.”
The full list of rules and regulations will be laid out on the NPC website. Tyler Manion believes this is a great chance for those who want to compete to break into the sport moving forward.
“I think it is something that will bring more women into the sport. We want those interested in fitness to want to get on stage. I think it will open up a lot of doors within the fitness industry.”
