Olympia to Replace 2020 Expo with Fan Pavilion and Refund Ticket Holders

It appears that the heads of the Olympia have plans to refund those who bought tickets to the 2020 Expo.

The global health crisis has caused a tremendous amount of havoc over the past several months. It has effected the economy in untold and profound ways and has caused the cancellations of many events. As such, the popular Olympia Expo which is held at the Las Vegas Convention Center was also unfortunately cancelled due to these circumstances. As previously reported, the cancellation of the expo was no surprise given the public health crisis and travel restrictions still in place.

For those who bought tickets this was a truly unfortunate circumstance. But now it seems that the heads of the Olympia have decided to not only provide them a refund, but also set up a Fan Pavilion to make up for the expo.

OLYMPIA PLANS FINALIZED!!!

The final phase of a major overhaul of the fitness industry’s most prestigious event has been completed. For the first time in 15 years, all the excitement of Olympia Weekend will be held inside the host hotel, thanks to the new Olympia Fan Pavilion planned at the Planet Hollywood Resort as a centerpiece of the 2020 Olympia experience.

The new Olympia Fan Pavilion replaces the traditional Convention Center “Expo” and will be held in a prominent 30,000 square foot open area directly above the Planet Hollywood Casino, at its new home on the Vegas Strip.

Olympia President Dan Solomon explains, “Ever since our days at Mandalay Bay, fans and exhibitors have been asking us to bring the entire Olympia experience back under one roof. The new Fan Pavilion is at the center of it all, providing a major presence for selected sponsors, exhibitors, merchandise areas, and celebrity appearances.”

Anyone who has already purchased tickets to the convention center expo will receive a full refund.

Olympia owner Jake Wood adds, “In addition to the new Pavilion, we are finalizing plans for a major pay-per-view production. The expanded weekend coverage will also include a special free channel giving fans LIVE coverage of the Pavilion, the Press Conference and selected Olympia Weekend activities, creating maximum visibility for our athletes and our exhibitors.”

It is now clear that the Olympia organizers will be cancelling the Expo and seems unlikely that a majority of fans from around the globe will be able to attend. The Olympia Expo has for years taken place at the Las Vegas Convention Center where exhibitors have had access to over 1.9 Million Sq Feet of exhibit space and can host up to 200,000 participants on average. Jake Wood, the event organizer has also suggested the idea of offering the Mr Olympia Show on Pay Per View as a solution for fans.

The new Fan Pavilion open area replacing the Expo only has 30,000 square foot of space per the Olympia organizers. Will you be attending the Fan Pavilion?
