Phil Heath Tells Brandon Curry He Has No Business Being On My Stage

Phil Heath calls out Brandon Curry.

The title of Mr. Olympia is the most coveted in all of professional bodybuilding. To win the Olympia means you’re without a doubt the best in the world. It’s a true honor that only a chosen few have been able to achieve.

For several years Phil Heath was the reigning Olympia champion. With his incredible physique and gifted genetics, Heath dominated the competition. That is until 2018 when Shawn Rhoden took the title.

Since a number of occurrences have led to Rhoden being barred from competition while Phil Heath sat on the sidelines.

Enter Brandon Curry.

With a truly impressive physique of his own, Brandon Curry was able to show his class and dominate at the 2019 Olympia. He defeated the likes of William Bonac, Hadi Choopan, Dexter Jackson, and Roelly Winklaar. It was no simple task and one Curry earned through hard work and dedication.

While 2020 has gotten off to a rough start, the speculation as to how year’s show will turn out is up in the air. The reigning champion recently had an interview with Bob Cicherillo about the upcoming show, his preparation, and expectations.

During the interview Cicherillo mentions that Phil Heath has sounded off on Brandon Curry. In a message from the seven-time champ himself, Heath said:

“Tell Brandon he’s got no shitting business being on my stage.“

Brandon Curry responded with:

“You know Phil, I just say I’ve been hoping to battle with you for a long time. So if you’re ready to come to the stage man I’m all for it. It would be an honor to stand on stage with Phil Heath and battle it out.”

Phil Heath followed up:

“there’s nothing wrong with being a one time champ.”

“And he’s right,” responded Curry. “There’s nothing wrong with that, but remember, I expect you, if anybody, to come to stage it’d be an honor if you make me a one-time champ.”
