PHIL HEATH CALLS OUT KAI GREENE AT BODYPOWER SHOW

The rivalry is starting to sizzle.

Professional bodybuilding is all about who is the most impressive muscle builder in the world. It’s all about who put in that work during the off season, who improved on their cultivated muscle, who pushed themselves to another level to ensure that they have a leg up over the competition. But like other competitive endeavors, bodybuilding means facing off against opposition that hope to attain the same greatness that their fellow competitors are working towards. With that in mind the ideas of rivalries in bodybuilding are another reality of the sport.

For any fan who pays even a bit of attention to what goes on in professional bodybuilding, the rivalry between Phil Heath and Kai Greene is well known and documented. It’s safe to say the two top bodybuilders in the world are far from friends. That fact has made seeing the two compete against each other in the past few years all the more entertaining. Though there may be some who disagree, there’s nothing like a good rivalry to elevate a sport to the next level.

It’s what made the events at the 2015 Olympia so unfortunate.

The fans were deprived of that much anticipated meeting of rivals, two men at the top of their game in a sport much in need of an interesting storyline. Now that the 2015 Olympia is in our rear view, fans are waiting patiently to see if the two rivals will once again compete against each other in 2016. It’s a idea that apparently isn’t lost on reigning Olympia champion Heath.
