Phil Heath shows an impressive midsection in recent physique update.
Seven-time Mr. Olympia Phil Heath recently shared a physique update that showcases his set of impressive abs. The former dominant bodybuilding champion has faced issues with his midsection in the past, but now it appears to be one of his strengths.
When you’ve reached the top of the mountain in your chosen endeavor it can be a truly amazing accomplishment. You’re filled with pride, joy, and fulfillment for succeeding at something many have tried and failed at achieving. In the realm of competitive sports, there is no greater feeling than beating out the opposition and proving that you are the best of the best.
But once you’ve reached the summit, where do you go from there? The obvious answer would be downhill. No one can stay at the top forever, that’s just the natural flow of life. However, with enough resolve, diligence, and skill, one can stay at the top of their field for quite some time. Phil Heath was able to do just that for seven straight years as Mr. Olympia. But even “The Gift” has had to concede his position as king eventually.
With that said, Phil Heath has hunkered down, gone back to the drawing board, and has been pushing his training to new heights. The former dominant king of the Men’s Open Bodybuilding division has been looking incredible as of late. His training alone shows just how committed Heath is to improving his physique.

Phil Heath has spoken about potentially competing in the Masters Olympia (if the price is right of course) and from his recent showings, it’s clear he could dominate if he chose to compete. You can tell from his training that he still has that dog in him. He still has that drive and motivation to be at his absolute best. He’s even turning his strengths into weaknesses.
Where his midsection was once a point of concern, Phil Heath has shored up that weakness and has transformed his waist. In a recent physique update, Heath showcases a tighter and trimmer midsection. The physique update was posted to his Instagram story and shows just how hard he’s been working on his midsection.
Whether Phil Heath makes a return to action is still up in the air. But what is certain is that Heath is looking as impressive as ever.
What do you think of Phil Heath and his current physique? Should he compete in the Masters Olympia?
