Post Workout Practices That Ruin Your Gains

Not Drinking Water

Generation Iron The Rock Drinking Water

You think drinking water should only be in your pre workout plans? Think again. Whether it’s before or after your training session, drinking water is something that should be done throughout the day. After a hard workout you’re more than likely to lose a great deal of the water that you pumped into your body. It’s a good idea to replenish the water you’ve lost to better aide your recovery.

Not Eating After a Workout (protein and carbs)

Don’t know who came up with this idea, but refusing to eat after a workout is probably one of the dumbest things you could do post workout. People think that by refusing to eat after a hard workout, it will make you lose more body fat. Wrong. You need post workout nutrition to help you recover and rebuild muscle that was broken down during your training. Eat some protein and carbs post workout if you don’t want your gains going to waste.
