IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Jason Lowe Has Passed Away At 38

Jason Lowe competed at the Olympia multiple times during his career.

IFBB Pro bodybuilder Jason Lowe has passed away at 38 years old. Lowe, who competed on the biggest stages in the sport during his career, suffered a heart attack. The news was shared his his wife, Ashley, on Thursday, January 22 2026.

The sudden death of Lowe is one that has hit the bodybuilding world hard and many competitors have shared condolences. According to RXMuscle, Lowe was training in his garage when he dropped. An autopsy has not been done yet so there is no official cause of death.

Ashley Lowe shared a heartfelt message about the person that her husband was:

“Today will be the hardest day of my life. I don’t know if words will ever be enough to hold what you meant to me, because they all feel so small in comparison. You made me a better version of myself, and you were going to be the absolute best dad. Saying that I’m devastated doesn’t even begin to touch the depth of this loss. I’m sitting here in our backyard writing this in your Olympia jacket, trying to feel close to you, trying to make sense of a world that already feels different without you in it.”

Jason Lowe began his bodybuilding career over a decade ago. He competed as recently as 2025 and shared a training video on social media the day before his death. Lowe had earned multiple top-three finishes in his career while taking the Olympia stage twice.

Jason Lowe’s Bodybuilding Career

Jason Lowe began training at a high level at a young age. When his physique began to improve, he took on bodybuilding and found great success right away. This began at the NPC level. He earned his Pro Card at the NPC Junior USA Championships in the Classic Physique division.

This is where Lowe began his pro career in 2017, competing twice. Lowe would go onto win his first show during the 2018 San Antonio Pro. He appeared in his first Olympia the very next year, finishing 16th. Lowe competed in some of the biggest shows of the year in 2020, including a second-place finish during the New York Pro in the 212 division. His division change was successful as he competed in the 212 Olympia that year as well.

Lowe went onto compete each year at shows such as the Chicago Pro and Orlando Pro. In 2025, Lowe took the stage twice with ninth-place finishes at the 2025 Texas Pro and 2025 Tampa Pro. He was an extremely active competitor with a passion for bodybuilding. Lowe enjoyed a successful career and had his stock trending upwards with a long history of experience on the biggest stages.
