Raja Jackson is being investigated following his actions on Saturday night.
Raja Jackson, son of UFC legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, attacked a professional wrestler during a live event on Saturday night.
Jackson stormed wrester Syko Stu in the ring during KnokX Pro’s KnokXperience in Sun Valley. He took the pro wrestler to the ground during what is being called an unscripted attack and landed upwards of 20 punches, leaving Stu unconscious. He was then taken to the hospital following the event.
KnokX Pro shared a post on Sunday morning, speaking out against the actions of Jackson, in what was supposed to be a planned spot:
“What was supposed to be a planned and agreed upon wrestling spot, turned into a selfish, irresponsible act of violence against Mr. Smith. This egregious act is reprehensible and never should have occured.”
The two met outside of the arena earlier in the night in what was believed to be a lead up to the wrestling spot. Jackson was hit in the side of the head with a can and apparently wanted his revenge inside the arena.
Rampage Jackson Speaks on his Son’s Actions
On Sunday, Rampage Jackson shared a spot following the actions from his son. He explained that he believed Raja was going to be part of the show to get his revenge for being hit in the head.
“Raja was told that he could get his “payback” in the ring. I thought it was a part of the show. It was bad judgement, and a work that went wrong. Raja is a MMA fighter not a pro wrestler and had no business involved in an event like this.”
Jackson continued to say that he does not condone his son’s actions and he is concerned with the health of Stu, who he shared is in stable condition.
“I don’t condone my son’s actions AT ALL! He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact. As a father, im deeply concerned with his health AND the well being of Mr. Smith. That being said I’m very upset that any of this happened, but my main concern now is that Mr. Smith will make a speedy recovery.I apologize on his behalf and to KICK for the situation.”
Raja Jackson is allegedly being investigated following his actions, according to multiple reports. More details will emerge moving forward.
