Generation Iron The Rock New Years Eve

How did the action star ring in the New Year?

Not everyone was out painting the town red on New Year’s Eve. Some people found themselves hard at work in the gym, already busting their ass and preparing for the year to come. You can bet that guys like Phil Heath, Kai Greene, Dennis Wolf, and Shawn Rhoden were prepping themselves for the competitions ahead whether physically or mentally, on this past December 31. But they weren’t the only ones.

Another person of great merit was pushing themselves in the gym, someone that may not compete in professional bodybuilding, but nonetheless has a work ethic worth commending. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently posted a pic of himself on Instagram, hard at work in the gym on – you guessed it, New Year’s Eve. The pro wrestler turned action star’s message was clear with a motivational quote:

It’s about that hard work and sacrifice and The Rock obviously cosigns on that notion. Make the sacrifice and work hard in the gym this coming year and the sky’s the limit for what you can achieve. Don’t allow The Rock to make you look like a lazy jerk. Get your ass in the gym!!!
