11-year-old weightier and powerlifter Rory van Ulft recently performed an astounding 266 lb Zercher squat in training. The Canadian-born van Ulft is a five-time US Youth National Champion and is proving to be one to watch in the strength world.
Aurora ‘Rory’ van Ulft has to be pound for pound one of the strongest humans on the planet. The kinds of lifts she’s able to pull off are something you’d expect from a much more seasoned, much older lifter. That said van Ulft has a clear love of lifting and is pursuing the endeavor with focused dedication.
Utilizing her unique talent for weightlifting, van Ulft has appeared on talent shows like Canada’s Got Talent. On the show, van Ulft wowed judges with her incredible strength that has to be seen to be believed.

While dedicated to weightlifting and powerlifting, Rory van Ulft is a multifaceted athlete, competing in gymnastics as well. At such a young age, it’s imperative that van Ulft has multiple outlets training in a multitude of disciplines.

But as mentioned before, weightlifting seems to be a major focus for Rory van Ulft. She utilizes Olympic lifting to strengthen her performance in all her athletic endeavors. Recently van Ulft performed an insane 266 lb Zercher squat, three times her 88 lb body weight.

Rory van Ulft is a true inspiration for anyone looking to get into strength training regardless of their age. It takes drive, focus, and the ability to pick yourself up after failure over and over. But by pushing through and doing consistent training anything is possible.
