71 Year Old Rudy Kadlub Smashes 4 World Records at USPA North American Championships

Rudy Kadlub looks impressive at 71 years of age.

The old adage that age is nothing but a number comes with it the fantastical notion that anyone can accomplish anything despite their age. In athletic endeavors the saying usually refers to either the very young or the very old.

In strength sports it takes time, consistent training, and dedication to build incredible weightlifting ability. It can be truly difficult lifting a tremendous amount of weight at a younger or older age. That’s why those who usually perform at their best at in their 20s, 30s, and even 40s.

But Rudy Kadlub just proved that even a man of 71 years of age can lift an incredible amount of weight.

At the USPA North American Championships, Rudy Kadlub broke four world records in the squat, deadlift, and bench press. Kadlub performed a 430lb squat, a 303lb bench press, and the 518lb deadlift at a body weight of 222lbs.

Good day at USPA Drug-Tested North American Championships in San Diego. 430 Squat, 303 bench, 518 Deadlift, 1251 total. All World Records at 71 years of age, 222lb body weight. Now hold all world records at 198, 220 and 242lb weight classes.
