Sacha Baron Cohen has completely transformed his physique for his new Marvel role.
Sacha Baron Cohen completely turned heads with his new look recently. The 53-year-old actor debuted his new physique transformation as he prepares for a new role.
Cohen, who posed for Men’s Fitness UK, will show off a slim, toned physique for his role as Mephisto, the newest villain in Marvel’s “Ironheart.” Cohen commented on his new look on social media following the release of the cover.
“Some celebs use Ozempic, some use private chefs, others use personal trainers. I did all three.”
Cohen is best known for his role as Borat, which was released in 2006. He has been featured in many pictures across different genres, sich as Madagascar, Talladega Night, and Bruno. Cohen’s new look is being pegged by many as his “revenge body” following his divorce from Isla Fisher last year. Cohen spoke with the publication about his new methods while creating this physique.
Sacha Baron Cohen Shows Off Physique Transformation
Sacha Baron Cohen was able to find a workout method and schedule that worked for him — and it led to impressive results.
Cohen, with the help of his trainer Alfonso Moretti, took his work up a notch with short, intense workouts. He spoke with the publication, using his wit as well, about what it took to create this transformation.
“In the past, I would’ve thought you needed hour-long sessions. But the short sessions made it so much easier to stay consistent, even with the demands of being on set.”
Moretti has worked with many big-name stars, including Matthew McConaughey. When working with Cohen, he shared that the actor was already in good shape to begin with. This made his results less of a surprise.
“He wasn’t out of shape but visually, he didn’t have that ‘in-shape’ look. He looked more like a ruler, straight up and down. The studio was even thinking about fitting him with prosthetic muscles.”
To aid in his transformation, Cohen took on a high-fiber diet which also packed in protein and avoided sugar. He remained consistent and motivated by doing 100 pushups daily as well. The short, intense workouts have Cohen a chance to focus on strength and cardio in a way that highlighted functional movements. He was also able to dabble in interval training at a high level.
