SEE HOW ROMAN REIGNS TRAINS HARDCORE LIKE A BODYBUILDER

Generation Iron Roman Reigns

Lift heavy, lift hard.

WrestleMania 32 came to its conclusion late Sunday night after a nearly five-hour show that included plenty of surprises and a new World Heavyweight Champion as challenger Roman Reigns took down Triple H to win the title in the show’s main event.

But how did Roman Reigns (Real name: Joe Anoa’i) get to the biggest title of the biggest stage of sports entertainment? Sure he’s a family member of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, sure he’s a physical specimen, and sure he’s got charm (just ask your girl), but hard work beats talent unless talent works hard, and this guy works hard!

The video below is a chest and upper body workout with the 30 year old Samoan. What’s most surprising about this video is how killer his mindset is. He’s a level headed competitor whose obsessive dedication to body sculpting would give most builders a run for their money. The 6’3, 270lb wrestler like’s to lift heavy and fast, with an old school mindset ” I do squats, Olympic lifts, and heavy compound movements, I’m not the guy who’s going to be flipping a log 50 times, I have always trained for explosion and it shows in the ring.” Like any fitness freak, Joe’s in the mirror everyday to find lagging parts and then blats them to failure on his next workout.

He says he gets his hardnose training from playing defensive tackle at Georgia Tech and credits his family for his work ethic.

While the video below is from Wrestlemania’s past, the message stays the same. Work hard, lift heavy, and come back even better tomorrow. Check out the video below:
